Janus™ Gas and Electric AMI Modules
Designed under FCC guidelines, Janus transceivers are 2 way communication devices compatible with GE,
Elster and other electric and gas meters. These modules can be loaded
with standard communication protocols, zeeWAVES FlexNetwork or
customers proprietary communication stack. 
Besides providing real time
meter data, they also provide instantaneous fault reporting, load
fluctuations and brownouts. Janus also control thermostats, electric
water heaters, washers & dryers and other appliances during peak
hours to balance energy demand and thus eliminating the need of
building new power plants. It also provides difference between the
output power and consumption to investigate power losses, thefts and
frauds.
Janus module transmits data at speeds of 115 kbps
at 6 hopping frequencies. At Line of sight, it can send signals up to 1
Mile. With zeeWAVES self healing FlexNetwork it adapts to star, mesh or
tree networks to find the optimum route. This the key advantage over
the competitors.
Many Electric utility customers have shown great
interest in these products and negotiations are underway with very
large utilities for pilots considerations and supplying these modules
as an OEM.
