Information Security Team Manager
Job Description The Information Security Team Manager will serve as a member of the information assurance and security operations team. This individual should possess a strong working knowledge of all facets of information systems security to include security policies, contingency plans, incident response plans, procedure development, networking, Windows, UNIX, security assessment tools, vulnerability scanning and assessments, perimeter security, intrusion detection systems, centralized logging and log analysis tools and techniques.
Assurance program to include event monitoring utilizing firewalls, centralized logging systems, host and network based IDS, systems audit and vulnerability assessments, risk evaluation and remediation, as will as security training, policy development and the IT security aspects of operations and contingency planning and procedures.
Responsibilities include:
- Security risk assessment and recommendations for Program direction
- Industry research and trends
- Peer benchmarking
- Relationships with business management, internal audit, corporate compliance
- Develop security policies, standards, processes
- Develop proposals for third party security assessments
- Provide security awareness
- Interpret security policies and standards for implementation functional and technical requirements
- Research vendor offerings, evaluate products
- Participate in enterprise architecture groups
- Identify, understand and document functional security requirements
- Conduct IT security training
- Direct third party vulnerability assessments, perform root cause analyses, recommend solutions
- Develop security solutions
- Monitor, spot check for policy compliance
Required Skills
Desired Skills CISSP certification preferred
Typical Experience 5-10 years
Degree(s) Bachelors in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
